Hey everyone! My name is Lea, I am 20 years old. I love books, mostly YA. Books are literally my addiction, I admit I do have a problem lol but it's a great problem!

MAY TBR!!!!!

Well this month is my birthday month(may 5th), so I am sure I might change my tbr because of me getting new books of course lol.

I know I will be starting A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin while I am in between other books.

I also will be starting Unravel me and then go on to the novella Fracture Me and then try and finish up the series with Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi.

I want to read some books off my kindle as well because I wanted to do that last month and never did =/ so I have either

The Program by Suzanne Young

The Red Rising by Pierce Brown or

The Collector by Victoria Scott

Who knows though this might all change but I for sure plan on A Clash of Kings, and the Shatter me series to be finished!

April Wrap Up!!!!!

So I had a total of 7 books plus a novella

1st book was A Game of Thrones by George R.R Martin, technically I read this in March but I didn't finish until April 5th so its getting thrown in here lol

2nd  book was Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover, I started this at the end of March and finished at the beginning of April.

3rd book was Cryer's Cross by Lisa McMann

4rd book was Fire & Flood by Victoria Scott (loved this book)

5th book was Naughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman

6th book was Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell (great book!)

7th book was If I Stay by Gayle Forman (can't wait for the movie!)

& the novella was Destroy Me by Tahereh Mafi( <3 )

So it was a lot better than last month for me, I was able to bump up my reading challenge which was nice I went from 35 to 50 books this year and I am still ahead of schedule!

Look what I bought today =)

I'm ready for this emotional roller coaster lol

Weekend Reads & the Week ahead!

I wasn't able to do a Friday reads =/ even though I did read lol

So here is what I am currently reading & plan to read during the week;

Naughts & Crosses by Malorie  Blackman, I am actually almost done with this and I plan to jump into either;

The Red Rising by Pierce Brown or

The Program by Suzanne Young

& I plan on picking up the Second book in the Fire & Ice series which is A Clash of Kings by George R.R Martian, but that is just a book I read in between my other books and I know I wont finish this month lol!

Fire & Flood

I saw that a lot of people were giving this book low ratings because they say it too much like hunger games, but Victoria Scott did an amazing just at this book, she made it her OWN. & I actually like it better than The Hunger Games (yes i said it). I hope this is made into a movie just as well because I feel it has so much potential. Don't get me wrong I like The Hunger Games, but this blew me away. I love how it is a mix between The Hunger Games/ Pokemon and everyone is saying that and that's what got me to buy it plus its only $2.51 on amazon for the kindle so I had to click that button to buy it! I highly recommend this book, it had me turning page after page, it had me have feels for all the characters..even some HATE feels. It was just awesome and I can not wait until the sequel comes out. This might just be one of MY favorites this year! & I mean look at that cover! Its beautiful!

The Rules of the Tunnel

I bought this book today for a $1 at my local Dollar Tree!!!!!! Score! It seems pretty interesting, its a memoir about anxiety & depression, how it affected his life, & how he over came it, I'm guessing....Here is the synopsis;

A journalist faces his toughest assignment yet: profiling himself. Zeman recounts his struggle with clinical depression in this high- octane, brutally funny memoir about mood disorders, memory, shock treatment therapy and the quest to get back to normal.

Thirty-five million Americans suffer from clinical depression. But Ned Zeman never thought he'd be one of them. He came from a happy Midwestern family. He had great friends and a busy social life. His career was thriving at Vanity Fair where he profiled adventurers and eccentrics who pushed the limits and died young.

Then, at age thirty-two, anxiety and depression gripped Zeman with increasing violence and consequences. He experimented with therapist after therapist, medication after medication, hospital after hospital- including McLean Hospital, the facility famed for its treatment of writers, from Sylvia Plath to Susanna Kaysen to David Foster Wallace. Zeman eventually went further, by trying electroconvulsive therapy, aka shock treatment, aka "the treatment of last resort."

By the time it was over, Zeman had lost nearly two years' worth of memory. He was a reporter with amnesia. He had no choice but to start from scratch, to reassemble the pieces of a life he didn't remember and, increasingly, didn't want to. His girlfriend was gone; friends weren't speaking to him. His life lay in ruins. And the biggest question remained, "What the hell did I do?"

By turns hilarious and heartbreaking, profane and hopeful, The Rules of the Tunnel is a blistering account of Zeman's twisted ride to hell and back-a return made possible by friends real and less so, among them the dead "eccentrics" he once profiled. It's a guttural shout of a book, one that defies conventional notions about those with mood disorders, unlocks mysteries within mysteries, and proves that sometimes everything you're looking for is right in front of you.

A Game of Thrones!!!!!!!!

I loved this book!!!!!! & I have to say I am so fricking proud and happy with myself for finishing this book! It was amazing! And you know how you read a book and then a movie or a show comes out of the book, and you go and watch it and are so flipping upset because it is NOTHING like the book out all!!!!!!!!!!!!? Well this book is totally different in that case. The book is pretty much word for word, scene after scene spot on and I think that's what made me love this book more than anything!!!! I highly enjoyed this book! It was so great just like the show. I rave and rave about the series and now the book! If you are up for a challenge pick this book up and read the series!!!!!! You will not be disappointed!

Cryers Cross

I enjoyed this book, it was a nice short read, I read in one day which was good, and it was on my April TBR which was also good! But it was not like a favorite of mine. It seemed slow at the beginning to me, I didn't really enjoy it until the middle and end. It was very different from the other books I read. Kinda weird and strange, but that made the ending very twisted and unsuspecting.  I would recommend this if you are into mysteries, paranoia type books, I gave this book a 3.5 mostly because I was wanting more details, more of the story.

you'll understand this once you read or have read the story ;)

Maybe Someday

This book was everything I needed! I was in a bookish slump, I need to get away from dystopian & fantasy, so I downloaded this on my kindle, and I fell in love with this story! I loved all of the characters and while I was cheering for the characters, I also felt torn when they did, but then I was so happy with the ending. It was a great book, I read it within 2 days I believe and thats only because I started the book really late at night, I am sure I could of read it in one setting. I gave it 5 stars!!!! I love Colleen Hoovers writing, and I am already reading another book of hers!

*************************************************************

This is about a girl named Sydney who finds out her best friend/roommate, Tori and her boyfriend of 2 years, Hunter, were sneaking behind her back and having sex for quite awhile, and to make things even shittier she found out on her birthday. Ridge who lives across her apartment and barley knows her, was the one who told her. With no where to go she ends up moving in with Ridge and his other roommates. Sydney and Ridge only barely knew each other before hand because of music and that brings them closer than ever... the only thing is Ridge has a girlfriend, Maggie, and Ridge doesn't want to be a Hunter and Sydney doesn't want to be a Tori, but the heart wants what the heart wants...can they mange to be friends and continue to work with the music? Or does Maggie get hurt and they become what they never wanted to be?

It was a great book I highly recommend it! It has humor, love, and sadness, but a great ending that leaves you happy & satisfied!
